item’s detail page will open. This is where you can bid on the item.
  • If the item is not available in any of the above windows, click on the most likely category in the left hand column and continue “drilling down” until you locate it.

Note: Although you can “Drill Down” by clicking on any photo on the top level, on lower levels you must click on the description under the photo to continue your search.

Browsers

If your visit to NorthShoreAuction.com is “browsing” oriented, that is you intend to check out any or all items, you also have two choices:

  • Review the items listed in the “Center Stage” under “Featured Listings,” Hottest Listings,” or “Recent Listings.” If you see an item of interest, click on the image for more information.
  • If you don’t see anything of interest in the “Center Stage,” click on one of the categories in the left hand column and continue “drilling down” until you reach a bottom level. If you still don’t see anything of interest, select another category or visit the shops in our “Le Grande Bazaar.”
  • Once you locate an item, click on the photo and the “Auction” window will open. Review this auction detail page and if you wish to proceed, click on the “Bid” button in the upper center portion of the page.

Bidding Instructions

All bids are non-cancelable, so bid wisely and carefully!

When the “Bidding Window” opens, you will see a box where you can place your maximum bid for the item.

If the seller has a “Reserve” or minimum price, the box will be populated with that figure. If another bidder has already exceeded the “Reserve” price, that figure (plus the bidding increment established by the software) will populate the box. Simply backspace over any existing amount and enter your bid. The amount is kept secret from all others and the software will use that figure to bid incrementally on your behalf up to the maximum amount you enter.

Note: You are not able to change (raise or lower) your bid on an auction until you have been outbid by another bidder.

If the bid box is empty, simply place the maximum amount you are willing to bid on the item. The amount is kept secret from all others and the software will use that figure to bid incrementally on your behalf up to the maximum amount you enter.

After entering your maximum bid amount, click on the “Submit Bid” button and a "Verification" window will open. Click on "Verify Maximum Bid Amount" and you're off to the races!

Once your bid has been accepted, the fun begins! And it really can be both challenging and fun, especially as you approach the end of the auction.

Following Through

  • You can track the status of your bids on your "My Page". A current list of winning bids is also found on the “Product Information page.”
  • Not always browsing the 'Net? Your individual settings can be configured to receive automatic updates surrounding auctions in which you’re participating. You can then click on the link (URL) provided in the notification email to visit the “Product Information Page” and adjust your bid accordingly.

Wrapping It Up!

If you have one of the winning bids at the end of the auction, the product is yours and you will be notified to contact the seller via email.

If you choose the "Instant Buy" option (where offered), you automatically become an instant winner. Details of your order will be sent to you via email.

Finally, NorthShoreAuction.com auctions are not only for raising money, they are also designed to be fun! So sit back, study your opportunities, and enjoy yourself!
